I don't know if anyone remembers this name but I remember my dad mentioning that Dave built an engine for him in the early 60's. We just hired a new chemist at work with the Dangerfield name I just had to ask if there was any relation .... she said it was her grandfather....  I looked up a bit of history on him his speed shop was in Youngstown he ran a twin engine blown Pontiac top fuel car and also a blown hemi car I guess he was one of the first people to break the 200 mph speed on the dragstrip I think in the early 1960's he was also one of the first to use zoomie exhaust. Un fortunately he was killed in a drag race accident in Arizona 1965 going 195 mph he was either overcome with fumes or his throttle stuck.. 200 mph in the early 60s is amazing especially in a car like this...
