Ya know, I'm looking on the home page and I see that Rocky is 101 years old ! If he's still able to take Ensure, Viagra and Geritol, and race his Vette, I think I have found myself a new hero ! Skip, I hope you have some of the same genes as your uncle......and I'm sure Mrs. Skip is hoping also. LOL

You guy,s have,nt seen Roc and I after a full weekend of racing we have to use an engine hoist to get us in the hot tub then we stay in until we look like prunes.Then we get out and gimp into the house and wake up monday morning feeling like we been on a three day drunk it is a terrible sight two fat old men still trying to do what we started doing when we were 18 LOL

Skip, I can fully relate to that. We'll race at Thompson in the heat and then I'll make the 2.5 hour drive home. I don't eat at the track and just drink water and Gatorade. So there I am, tired, hungry and facing a 2.5 hour drive home. On the way home I'll call ahead and order a pizza. I take it home, inhale it and then hit the shower because the stink alarms are all going off.........and it's ME ! After the shower I'll hit the recliner, usually with 1 or 2 of our cats wanting attention and laying on me. I'm wound up from the day, but tired, but with a 600# pizza in my belly and cats on my lap. Maybe I'll fall asleep and wake up to a dark room and wonder if I died. I'll then wander back to the bedroom and fall asleep and wake up the next day feeling like I fell down the flight of stairs at the Empire State Building.
But the lure of racing draws me back again and I do it again.......and again. I guess it's better doing that than being in a permanent prone position and having folks come and visit you and say how good you look laying in a casket.

Rock on guys, we only do this once.

That's one more thing we all have in common......a Birthday every year !
I'm in this for the Long Haul, but it seems to get harder and harder to get my ass in gear ...I think I need that 100 thousand mile Tune Up !!! Smile

Dan I keep saying I want to go 200 mph in the quarter before I die and it will prolly be the same day!!! But Roc and I come from a family that keeps going non stop until we go like you say prone, so as long I have the finances I will keep chasing the elusive 200 mph. And Steve Jungle Pam and Roc might share the same B-day but thats as far as the comparison goes affraid
