Dragway 42

Hi folks,
I just wanted to let you all know I contacted Toby Ehrmantrout at Dragway 42 about us coming out next Sunday and he's happy we're coming and welcomed us and has told his announcer to give us some air time. So now if one of those cute corn fed Ohio cuties comes up to Skip and asks for his autograph, I just hope he represents the club well and doesn't try using some of that southern charm and get us all tossed from the track ! LOL

If its hot I,m gonna use that southern charm to get us free ice cream LOL I am looking forward too DW42 that is a cool old track with some of the best food at a track the hamburgers alone are worth the trip !!!

I just wanted to pass along to anyone racing at D42 next week that the track has the old style double Armco barriers running the length of the track. There has been a lot of discussion lately about these rails and I just wanted to let everyone know.

Empire Dragway in New York has this ole double guardrail too, it got some Z paint on it around 400ft out but thats an old story, 6.03 @ 85mph in the 1/8 with the tail lights leading me down the tarmack backwards.

Are any of you guys planing on going Sunday? if you ar maybe we could travel out together It's a long trip for me and it would be nice to follow someone . Could we meet up someplace along I 80 ?

Just a FYI for all, there is a 40% chance of rain for the next 3 days in the West Salem area.

When it rains at 42, the pits turn to a muddy mess. Just be careful this weekend guys... I dunno if I am able to go yet or not, but I should be at the club picnic and if I get my parts, my truck will be there as well

we have met at Summit in the past and then went in together but I will not be making the trip this year boss man say's I have to go truckin

I say meet at Summit racing around ? unless it rains I really don,t want to make the trip and get rained out LOL

For a trip that far the weather does not look to promising I would take the chance it it were closer but I think I,ll save the money and wait for a better weather outlook.

I feel the same way too Skip. The forecast of t-storms is up to 50% now and although the place might be bone dry, I think I'll pass also.

I am going to do everyone a favor if I go it will rain so I will just stay home and then it will turn into a nice day lol
