Newbie

Hi folks. I found this site by accident when I was looking on the Magnolia site. Been around the drag racing scene for many years. First went to Sunset on Easter Sunday 1960. I've tried to get back to Sunset at least once a year.
I see you guys are having a club race this Saturday at Thompson. We'll be there racing the Marion Docks T/S Cobalt in the Asphalt Wars race. Stop over and say Hi and if I'm not too busy I'll give you a .50 tour of the car. Here is a picture fresh back from the paint shop.

Just to let you guys know, the Cobalt isn't mine, I just help on the car. If you want to see a impressive motor, check out this 832 Sonny's semi-hemi. It's all throttle, no bottle. Between round maintenance is so much nicer on this car comapred to the other car I helped out on. It was a 706 Donovan with 2 systems and was a PITA between rounds.

Well any freind of the Z,s is a freind of mine welcome Andamo . Now I need to pm Don and make sure I did the right thing

It's funny but I've never met Don face to face but hopefully this summer that'll change. I met Don when he and his Dad had the Sunset website and we talked back and forth. After he graduated from college and was moving to Bedford, he asked me to take over being the mod on the Sunset site. I acted as mod for a while until it seemed like every day I was deleting scammers and other junk. I contacted Don and we decided to shut the site down. I took all the names from that site and started a Sunset site on Yahoo, but nobody was posting so Bob Wenzelburger, who was co-owner and I shut it down too.
