Had a good time at Milan on Saturday, other than the heat. Dad had some fun and put down some respectable numbers in the 1/8 mile. Qualified 4th in the 14 car field. Lost in the 1/4 finals to the number one qualifier by a few feet (not bad considering dad had 134 mph at the 1/8 and Mike Brown of the Ohio Boys in his turbo car had 150 mph in qualifying. Mike won Norwalk's Outlaw Radial class on Friday night with a 7.30 against Dave Hinzman). Awesome racing, great track, and lots of cool people up there.

We'll be back.....

After hanging out at heads up and index racing for the last 3 or 4 years pretty regularly, I don't really care to bracket race any more....

The ole Z was getting em on the holeshot real bad but those turbo's pull so hard down track its hard to outrun em. We were getting some air under the frontrunners out a 150 feet or more, the track was hooking great for me an the 10.5 tires never spun. We'll give em Hell at the Trails this Friday night in the Nitrous Shootout.

I don't think your spraying very much an shouldn't need a progressive, but it won't hurt at all to use one. Myself, without knowing your car up an personal, it has a tube chassis, with the motor fairly far back even if its the stock location, a Vette a the motors very far to the rear compared to other styles. That being the case I think you need to soften the "Hit" on your 4-link some an let it eat. The bars need to be out 50-60 or more an intersect low so it don't hit the wheely bars hard an it'll be quiker off the line an hold down track. The style of your Vette looks to me that it might have been a throttle stop car at one time running all motor an it was set up to hit the hard to get off the line an then idle for a minute then hit it agin. You don't want a setup like that with nitrous, it'll have more than 1000 ft lbs of torque instantly an hit the bars hards then blows the tires loose. How close am I ?

Yep, I was guessing thgat it was hitting the tires on motor pretty decent an nitrous just makes em hit 3 times as hard, at Sunset ya might not notice it as much but on a real good track your just nailing the tires an blowing em off with spray.

Between 1.18 and 1.22 60ft times without the NOS havent tried the spray off the line yet , but the motor seems to like it at mid track drops about 4 tenths with a mild tune with less then 100hp shot !! just got the the info from speedtech about which jets to use, I was to big on the fuel jet ! looking forward to trying the right tune with a soft set up on the 4 link....Thanks for the info !!!

here's some pics of the Millan Race, the first few pages are Jr dragsters an bracket cars http://motorcitynationals.com/v-web/gallery/v/08142010/

Here's the Z trying to take the tiny 29.5x10.5's off the rim, I had to add 10 more screws after that race because baby powder was puffing from the bead of the tire between the old screws down the sidewall, they were on the verge of coming apart. Had I not ran tubes the air would have been gone from both back tires for sure.

This car is Mike Brown's, a twin turbo LS motor, he was the winner an #1 qualifier. He beat me by a couple feet is all an sent me back to PA. Friday night at Norwalk he won Drag Radial class by running 7.30@over200mph, definatly a badazz fast car, but in the 1/8 my ole school nitrous junk worries em very bad !!!!!

Mike Brown's car is a single turbo LS motor...I think it's a 106 or 114mm Precision.
