Ok guys, I'm allowed to now release the final rendering of what our new GXP will look like. Jeff Hoskins is finishing up the paint so I wanted you all to see how it looks. The only thing different is the wheels won't have as much black on them as the rendering shows. I hope you all like it and hopefully this week I'll be posting pictures of the car. The guys will be going out on the 24th to test fire it and make sure everything works properly, and then they're leaving for Florida for a T&T session at Bradenton.

It's hard to see in the rendering, but on the deck lid is a tribute to all the brave coal miners of the world.

It's all paint Toot. When we first got the Cobalt we had it done in a vinyl wrap. From 10' away it looked good, but when you got closer it was dull and didn't have a shine. Kevin likes his cars to look good too, so that winter the wrap was removed and Jeff painted it.
The lettering is vinyl though.

Thanks guys. We'll be running in 6 of the ADRL events, some of the close MMPSA events, and hopefully all the Asphalt Wars races at Thompson, the yet un-named series at PRP, and the series that Greg Miller is working on for Quaker City. We have to weigh 2425# for the ADRL and MMPSA races, but we can pull a lot of weight off the car for the local outlaw races. I hope you all will come to our pit area and get the .50 tour of the car.

Kevin contacted me today and there is a change of plans. The painting on the car won't be done till the 22nd now, so the Florida trip is off. So now the plan is to test at Rockingham in late February.

Toot, you had asked about the car having paint or a wrap the other day. Here is the Cobalt when it had the wrap on it. It looked a little odd because the fellow who did it flew into Haas' shop from the Chicago area, and forgot to bring the ''grille'' with him to put it on. We had the grille, but knew the wrap was coming off anyway, so we never put it on.
Like I had mentioned before, the wrap looked good from a distance, but when you got close to it, it had a matte finish. Seemed a shame to pull off a almost $6000 wrap and toss it away. Never again for sure.

You know that does look good. Skip was going to do that to my truck but he had to get ready for the Christmas Party so he put on a nice coat of paint and clear coat. Lol I don't have 6 grand to spend on a paint job hell I don't have that much in my whole truck. If knew how good it would make me feel to see my truck all shiny like it does now I would have done it a long time ago! Thanks again Skip!
