Dragway 42 hosts another one of its famous "Cheap Race Weekend" events during the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
Friday's action includes an expanded 1/4 mile Test and Tune (but same, regular low price) along with an optional 100% payback Gambler Race. A session of Test and Tune is run between each round of the gambler race, so everyone gets and equal number of runs down the track.
Gates open at 4 PM (rather than 5:30) and Test & Tune begins at 5 PM (rather than 6).
Saturday's and Sunday's action includes a $1000 to win "No Box" 1/8th mile eliminator and a 1/4 mile, unlimited quick dial-in "Street Trophy" class for machines on DOT tires.
The $1000 to win classes on Saturday and Sunday also payout $350 to the runner-up and $200 to the semi-finalists. All other racers who win 2 or more rounds of eliminations pick up $10 round money beginning with their 2nd round win of the day.
You can enter 1, 2, or all 3 days of racing.
A single $30 fee covers the Friday Test and Tune plus entry into both Saturday's and Sunday's Street Trophy class.
For those who want to 'chase the cash', a single $50 fee covers Friday's Test and Tune plus entry into both Saturday's and Sunday's $1000 to win "No Box" classes.
The track is also offering a FREE entry, "2nd Chance" race for participants knocked out in the 2nd or 3rd round of the $1000 to win class on both Saturday and Sunday.
The "2nd Chance" race winners take home their choice of any pair of Mickey Thompson slicks and runners-up in the FREE entry "2nd Chance" races receive $100 cash.
A custom, 3' tall trophy goes to the class winners on Saturday and Sunday with a small trophy going to any class racer winning 2 or more rounds of eliminations.
