Both organizations have their good and bad points, but even with the changes the IHRA has made over the past couple of years, it seems to be geared more towards the sportsman racers. At the NHRA divisional races you'll have alky funny cars and alky dragsters, and many of the tracks will book in some sort of''show'' just to get butts in the bleachers. But I like the format of the Pro Am events better since it's all about racing and gathering points. Last year PRP had 2 back to back Pro Am events and another race on Sunday. And the program ran off like clockwork. Hopefully Quaker will have a Pro Am race in the future and maybe have the bracket finals again.
